Personas

Jeff is a deaf man in his 30s and is active within his local deaf community in Fayetteville. He tries to stay up to date with current events that pertain to the deaf community, but he finds that resources are hard to navigate. Ultimately, Jeff wants his community to thrive and wants better resources and deaf culture awareness throughout different communities.

Sandy is the mother of a deaf elementary school child. She is new to the area and looking for local resources. She wants to make sure that her child has a community to connect with and friends they can relate to. Interested in learning how to get involved with the local deaf community, she relies on the AAD website to find out about news and events.

3 Initial Design

The initial design is an exploration in UX . design and the final product is a later exploration with applied knowledge that was learned after making the first design.

While the interaction is animated, the design lacks hierarchy and visual interest. It feels gimmicky and lacks a sense of realism in the design. The color pallet is unattractive and under-saturated.

4 Final Product

Clickable Prototype

The final design resolves all the problems with the initial design. The hierarchy is better established without being entirely linear. A new color palette is applied that is concise and saturated. The interaction is improved visually and feels more rooted in reality.

Prototype may take a minute to load, please be patient.

Thanks for Watching!
